Giannis Antetokounmpo has done it again. After back-to-back 40 point 20 rebound performances, it was hard to see how he could one-up himself but he did. Against the Wizards, he went off and racked up 55 points in a victory. After the game, he gave a touching tribute to Milwaukee.
“I wouldn’t be the player I am today without this city. You don’t play for the name on the back. You play for the name on the front”

Giannis Thanks The City Of Milwaukee After The Game
Antetokounmpo has always been a likable person and it is because of comments like this. In the postgame interview, he shouted out the city of Milwaukee. “I wouldn’t be the player I am today without this city. You don’t play for the name on the back. You play for the name on the front,” Giannis said after his dominant performance. I didn’t think it was possible to like Giannis more. He loves playing for this city. While other superstars are trying to get to the big market teams to make a name for themselves, he is content playing here for this team.
Greatest Superstar Ever?
Part of being a superstar is interacting with the media and with others. Some superstar players just do not connect with fans. They are either too full of themselves or simply do not want to. Antetokounmpo is the perfect balance of a dominant player on the court and a stand-up citizen off the court. It is no wonder that he is such a popular player, especially with the younger generation. He is the type of player that parents want their kids to look up to.
It would not surprise me if Giannis played his whole career as a Buck. He seems to have established a connection with the city and the Bucks certainly are not going to move him if he does not want it. At this point, he is must-watch television. There is no telling what he will do on the court next.
