Giannis Antetokounmpo has made it clear what he wants to do for the rest of his NBA Career.  The 31-year-old Super Star is certainly in the ladder half of his career, however, that doesn’t mean he can’t play effectively for another 10 years.

In a resounding declaration of commitment, Milwaukee’s superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo reaffirmed his desire to spend his entire NBA career with the franchise, that requesting a trade is “not in my nature.”

The two-time MVP’s comments come amid ongoing speculation about his future as the Bucks navigate a challenging 2025-26 season:

“There will never be a chance, and there will never be a moment, that I will come out and say ‘I want a trade,’” Antetokounmpo, who can opt out of his contract in the summer of 2027, told The Athletic. “That’s not … in … my … nature. OK?”

The 31-year-old Greek Freak, who signed a three-year, $186 million extension in 2023, has long been linked to potential moves to larger markets like New York or Los Angeles. However, Giannis doubled down on his loyalty: “People can talk, but at the end of the day, it’s about winning here. This is home.

The Bucks enter the game with a 16-21 record, sitting 11th in the Eastern Conference.  Well below the championship expectations set by their 2021 title and Giannis’ back-to-back MVP awards (2019, 2020).

Antetokounmpo has been dominant as usual, averaging 29.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game while leading the NBA in usage rate.
