NBA All-Star Weekend is underway. It kicked off with the celebrity game, a fun kickoff to the weekend. Giannis Antetokounmpo and his brothers coached one team along with NBA legend Dwyane Wade. During the pregame, Giannis expressed how big of a fan he is of Wade.
"I'm a huge, huge fan of you bro."

Giannis Antetokounmpo Praises Dwyane Wade
Wade’s career is one that not enough people talk about. He was drafted by the Miami Heat and spent a majority of his career with the team. He only left late in his career but did not move teams like so many stars have done. Yes he was joined by LeBron James and Chris Bosh but he had success before those two came and had success after. Giannis is definitely a fan. “I’m a huge, huge fan of you, bro,” Giannis said during the pregame. He went on to add, “that’s how I want to do it,” in reference to winning championships.
Good News For Bucks Fans
If you read between the lines, that last comment should make Bucks fans happy. Giannis seems to want to have a career similar to Dwyane Wade. He wants to build where he is at and not chase rings by joining up with other superstars. He mentions other players who did something similar. Dirk Nowitzki played his entire career with the Mavs and Tim Duncan did the same with the Spurs. Hakeem Olajuwon played a majority of his career with the Rockets but like Wade ended his career on another team. However, the common thread is these teams stayed with their teams and won championships and Giannis loves that.

Giannis is one of the most fun players to watch do something like this. He looked like he was having a blast during this game and he took it seriously. There are some great photos of him drawing up plays for his celebrity team. All-Star weekend continues all weekend with the All-Star game happening on Sunday.
