Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are set to give Golden State Warriors fans a glimpse of the player at the top of their trade-deadline wishlist when they take on San Francisco on Wednesday night.

The Greek Freak delivered an impressive performance in Sacramento on Monday, scoring 37 points in just 32 minutes during a 115-98 win over the Kings. He made 13 of 17 shots and added 11 rebounds, marking his third straight double-double.

The Bucks have taken four of their last five games, with guards Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins driving the recent success. Porter Jr. has poured in 17.3 points per game over his last four appearances, while Rollins has scored in double figures in every contest this season except the opener against Washington, when he finished with nine.

Rollins added another layer to his recent run by responding against the Warriors, the team that picked him up from the Hawks on draft night in 2022, limited him to just 62 total minutes that season, and later sent him to Washington in the Jordan Poole and Chris Paul trade.

The young Bucks guard poured in 32 points as the Bucks, playing without Antetokounmpo and Porter, stunned the Warriors 120-110 in Milwaukee back in October.

Stephen Curry heads into the Bucks rematch after dropping 27 points in Monday’s 103-102 road loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. In a season marked by injuries and Draymond Green incidents, Curry fouled out and watched the finish from the bench, while head coach Steve Kerr was ejected and sent off to the locker room.

This matchup opens an important homestand for the Warriors. They need to pile up wins and generate momentum, but that starts with finding reliable scoring beyond Curry when he steps off the floor. As for the Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo, Warriors fans will get a close look at his impact while wondering what might be possible. Whether that remains wishful thinking or hints at something more depends on how Milwaukee’s front office views its current direction.
