Saudi football club Al Hilal made all sorts of headlines of late after their successful coup of Brazilian superstar forward Neymar. The 31-year-old has decided to leave PSG in favor of a move to Saudi Arabia, which of course, will make him an even richer man. According to reports, Neymar is expected to pocket up to $300 million in salary per year with Al Hilal.
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is a big soccer buff, so he’s well aware of all this movement in the football world. He also knows that Al Hilal also attempted to recruit him after their recent Neymar coup.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Reacts to Al Hilal’s Offer
On Wednesday Al Hilal’s official Twitter account shared a couple of photos of Giannis’ club shirt. They said that his “jersey is ready” and they even officially welcomed Antetokounmpo to the Al Hilal family:
Your jersey is ready @Giannis_An34

Giannis caught wind of the blatant recruitment pitch, and while there were no details regarding the money involved, Antetokounmpo seems to have responded positively:
Best duo in Saudi league!! 🔥 https://t.co/eF9K8U9bl9 pic.twitter.com/w5Vyw2n0Hj

Giannis shared a recent photo of himself with Neymar with the caption, “Best duo in Saudi League!!” As it appears, Antetokounmpo is open to the prospect of joining Al Hilal soon.
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Al Hilal Come-Get-Me Plea
To add even more fire to this burning flame, Giannis actually came out with a come-get-me plea for Al Hilal not too long ago. This was amid reports of the Saudi club making a bonkers $1.1 billion offer for Neymar’s now-former PSG teammate, Kylian Mbappe. Antetokounmpo could not help but salivate over that insane amount of money as he asked Al Hilal to recruit him instead of Mbappe:
Al Hilal you can take me. I look like Kylian Mbappe 😂😂👀 pic.twitter.com/VH0syez3VX

In all seriousness, though, Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t going to be leaving the Milwaukee Bucks to switch careers and join Al Hilal, or any other football team out there, for that matter. In fact, the former league MVP is in line to become the highest-paid player in NBA history. Giannis is going to be eligible for an extension this summer, but it’s very much possible that he opts to wait another year in favor of what is likely going to be the biggest payday in league history.
