Giannis Antetokounmpo wasted no time setting the tone on Wednesday night, powering the Milwaukee Bucks to a 133-120 win over the Washington Wizards at Fiserv Forum to kick off the 2025–26 season.

The Greek Freak played under 30 minutes but still dominated, finishing with 37 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists in the convincing victory.

This outing marked Giannis’ 151st career game with at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, ranking him third all-time behind only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson, who each tallied 157 such performances, according to Real Sports. All three legends share a connection to Milwaukee, adding more significance to the feat. Reaching that mark in fewer than 30 minutes only made the achievement more impressive.

Per PolyMarket, Giannis now owns the NBA record for the most performances featuring at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in games where he played fewer than 30 minutes.

Antetokounmpo delivered with remarkable efficiency, sinking 16 of his 26 field-goal attempts while going 4-of-7 from the line and 1-of-3 from beyond the arc. Twelve of his 14 rebounds came on the offensive end, allowing Milwaukee to maintain control of the game. His +10 plus-minus underscored just how much of an impact he had across the floor, from inside the paint to the perimeter.

The Bucks superstar stayed active during the offseason, which may have worked in his favor. While most players were focused on individual training sessions, he spent the summer competing in EuroBasket, where he led Greece to a bronze medal finish.

During his run with Greece, Giannis logged nearly 210 minutes over seven games, averaging 27.3 points on 68 percent shooting from the floor and 65 percent from the free-throw line. He also contributed 10.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest, showing he was in midseason form long before the NBA campaign began.

Giannis will remain under close scrutiny this season, having been the focal point of trade rumors since Milwaukee’s 2025 playoff exit. Although one game does not determine the entire campaign, his dominant outing alongside the Bucks’ impressive control over a rebuilding Wizards squad offers a strong and encouraging start for the MVP contender.
