Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as probable with an ankle issue for Thursday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, keeping his availability uncertain.

This adds a new injury to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s recent health concerns, as the Greek Freak has been managing a right calf issue over the past several games, which already sidelined him for about eight contests.

Along with Giannis, for the Jan. 15 game in San Antonio, the Milwaukee Bucks’ injury report lists Alex Antetokounmpo, on a two-way G League contract, and Taurean Prince, recovering from neck surgery.

Meanwhile, the Bucks got encouraging news regarding Myles Turner, who has returned to the active list after sitting out the Timberwolves games with an illness.

This season, Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 29.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists over 26 games. He recorded 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists in Milwaukee’s lopsided 139-106 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Recently, after hearing boos from the home crowd, the Bucks star addressed the reaction he received in the Fiserv Forum.

“Never. I’ve never been a part (of that). Have I? I don’t think so. Something new for me. It doesn’t change. It’s the same thing. It doesn’t matter. I thrive through adversity. I thrive when people don’t believe in me. Doesn’t matter if I’m on the road, if I’m at home, if I’m at my family dinner, if I’m at the practice facility with my teammates. It doesn’t really matter. So, yeah, I’ve never been a part of something like that before, so it was something new for me. I like it though. I love it,” the Bucks superstar remarked via The Athletic’s Eric Nehm.

It was an unusual moment for Antetokounmpo as he faced boos from his own fans.

With trade speculation surrounding him and the Bucks throughout the season, his future with the team now returns to uncertainty.
