Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, appearing focused and all-business during his post-game interview, looked every bit like a winner as he spoke to reporters at Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Friday.

The Greek Freak led Team Giannis to a 65-58 win over Team Anthony in the All-Star Celebrity Game. The matchup was competitive, with the outcome hanging in the balance until the final moments. While Antetokounmpo enjoyed himself on the sidelines, even trolling veteran NBA insider Shams Charania, he also turned up the intensity, helping his team rally in the fourth quarter.

The two-time MVP made it clear he takes winning seriously.

“I just enjoy winning.” commented the European superstar.

“But it was hard, making the substitutions, not everybody’s gonna play, but I think everybody did a good job, just playing hard, and playing to win.”

The former Finals MVP turned the game into a family affair, coaching alongside his brothers, Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Alex Antetokounmpo, both members of the Bucks. The coaching squad also featured Los Angeles Dodgers standout Mookie Betts.

Actor Rome Flynn earned MVP honors in the Celebrity All-Star Game for the second consecutive year, tallying 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including three conversions from beyond the arc.

Coaching in the annual event provided Giannis Antetokounmpo a welcome break from the whirlwind of trade rumors and media attention surrounding him at the deadline. For the time being, Antetokounmpo will stay in Milwaukee, a city he frequently describes as home.

His comments about winning should offer fans some reassurance, even amid the Bucks’ difficult season.

Antetokounmpo is nearing a return after getting sidelined indefinitely with a calf strain.
