Giannis Antetokoumpo Career High and Possible Record?
Yesterday, the (23-13) Milwaukee Bucks, hosted the (17-21) Washington Wizards. In a closely fought game, the Bucks held on to the lead to defeat the Wizards 123-113. The main story though was Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo posting a career-high 55 points while shooting an efficient 20-33 from the field. Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis also both had solid games with both posting double-doubles on the stat sheet. This game bolsters an already strong Giannis Antetokoumpo MVP campaign which, if won, would make Giannis only the 9th player in NBA history to win 3 Most Valuable Player(MVP) Awards.
Bucks Playoff Push
The Bucks victory pushes them past the Cleveland Cavaliers for 3rd place in the Easter Conference. Before Tuesday, the Bucks had lost 5 in the last 6 games. Yesterday’s win was huge to shift the momentum and morale in the locker room. With Kris Middleton hopefully coming back soon, the Bucks have an excellent chance to capture the number one seed in the east from the Boston Celtics.
