The Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night finished off the Month of February with a perfect 10-0 record and 15th consecutive Win by beating the Brooklyn Nets 118-104. Giannis Antetokounmpo only scored 4 points in the 1st quarter then took over scoring 29 points in the remaining 3 quarters of the game Tuesday night resulting in another 30+ point, 15 Rebound performance. In February Giannis Antetokounmpo has averaged 29 points, 11.6 Rebounds, 6 assists a game, and shot 55% from the field. Most importantly team was 9-0 when Giannis played in February.
There was other Key Bucks players to complete a perfect February.
1. Jrue Holiday I feel like Jrue Holiday is one of the most underrated players in the NBA right now because the way he can dominate on both ends of the court especially on defense. It’s hard to believe that he hasn’t won a defensive player of the year before. In The month of February Jrue stepped up his offense big time averaging 21 points, 6.7 assists, 4.8 rebounds, shooting about 51% from the floor, and 42.5% from 3. That includes a 40 piece with a clutch steal, and go ahead 3 in Overtime against the Boston Celtics on Valentine’s night at Fiserv in a OT win.
Then another monster performance was Sunday Afternoon Matinee against the Phoenix Suns without Giannis Antetokounmpo sitting with a Quad contusion. Jrue Holiday had 33 points, 4 made 3″s including the go ahead 3 with about 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Then just like in the finals 2 years ago Holiday ripped the ball away from Devin Booker to seal the win.
2. Brook Lopez Is having a career Year both Defensively and offensively. Leads the NBA In contested shots at the rim and is number 2 in blocks per game with 2.4. His offense has sky rocketed as well especially in February scoring just a little over 16 points, 8 Rebounds, 2 Blocks, and shooting 56% from the floor.
3. Since Khris Middleton returned from Injury the Bucks haven’t lost which means they are 13-0. He missed a couple games before the All-star Break with knee soreness/ Injury management. He hasn’t started in any games since returning because they still have him on a certain minutes restriction to keep him healthy for the stretch run and playoffs. February Middleton averaged almost 17 points a game, 6.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and with 48% shooting from the floor.
