If the Milwaukee Brewers are looking to restock the farm system via a Freddy Peralta blockbuster trade, and deal their ace out of the National League, an American League East contender might be the perfect trade partner.
There seems to be momentum building towards a potential Peralta blockbuster in the weeks ahead, leading up to spring training, and there just might be an AL East arms race developing for the Brewers’ star pitcher.
Brewers linked to Freddy Peralta Boston Red Sox Blockbuster

While the Yankees have reportedly shown significant interest in trading for Peralta, the Red Sox appear poised to offer a significant package of prospects and players to Milwaukee, in exchange for the top of the rotation star.
Just Baseball’s Jay Staph suggests that the Red Sox could deal starters Patyon Tolle and David Sandlin to solidify the rotation well into the future.
“Payton Tolle brings a ton of potential to the Brewers’ future rotation,” Staph writes. “When paired with Jacob Misiorowski, this duo has a chance to dominate the NL Central for years to come.
“On paper, Tolle’s numbers during his big league stint in 2025 were far from impressive. He posted an ERA over 6.00 through his first 16.1 innings pitched, yet he showcased plenty of dominant stuff along the way.”
The coming weeks will determine if the Red Sox are bold enough to move their best young arms to secure a proven frontline starter.
For the Brewers, pulling the trigger on a Peralta blockbuster would be the ultimate ‘sell-high’ move to ensure Milaukee remains a pitching powerhouse for years to come, with a rotation with the kind of depth that just might finally punch their World Series ticket..
