Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 2023 NBA All-Star Game appearance was brief: 20 seconds of playing time, one made shot and a foul. The injured wrist, of course, limited the Greek Freak’s playing time in this year’s contest, but he was still able to fulfill his starting role that he was voted.

Here are four stats you may not know about Giannis’ NBA All-Star Game resume and stat line.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has the most ASG appearances for Bucks’ players

One: Giannis became the Milwaukee Bucks’ player with the most ASG appearances with seven. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is second on the list with six ASG games. A total of 20 different Bucks players have played in the NBA All-Star Game: 7-Giannis Antetokounmpo, 6-Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 5-Sidney Moncrief, 4-Marcus Johnson, 3-Vin Baker, Ray Allen, Bob Dandridge, Khris Middleton, 2-Glenn Robinson, Oscar Robertson, Terry Cummings, Brian Winters, 1-Flynn Robinson, Jrue Holiday, Bob Lanier, Jon McGlocklin, Ricky Pierce, Jim Price, Michael Redd, Alvin Robertson.

Giannis is the highest scoring player (by average) in ASG history

Two: Even though he only scored two points in the game, Giannis retained his #1 spot as the player with the highest career points per game average in ASG history. Giannis entered the game with a 29.0 ppg in six ASG. The two points in this year’s game dropped his average to 25.1, just ahead of Kevin Durant’s average of 25.0. Based on a minimum of four All-Star Games played, here are the Top Six leading scorers in ASG history based on points per game.

    25.1-Giannis Antetokounmpo
    25.0-Kevin Durant
    23.8-Joel Embiid
    22.5-Steph Curry
    22.5-Jayson Tatum
    22.4-LeBron James

Three: Giannis became the seventh player in NBA All-Star Game history to start in every ASG he has played in (minimum of seven games played). LeBron extended his streak by starting in all the 19 NBA All-Star Games he has played in. Here are the 10 players who have started in every ASG they appeared (minimum of seven games played): LeBron James (19), Kobe Bryant (15), Bob Cousy and Michael Jordan (13), Elgin Baylor and Julius Erving (11), Allen Iverson (9), Steph Curry (8), Walt Frazier and Giannis Antetokounmpo (7).

Giannis ranks #2 in this All-Star Game career stat

Four: Giannis made the only shot he took in the game. He is now 81-for-113 in field goal attempts in his ASG career, a shooting percentage of .717. That is the second highest career field goal percentage in ASG history (minimum of 60 field goal attempts). He is second behind Blake Griffin whose ASG career FG percentage is .750 (45-for-60). Anthony Davis is third at .706.
