Former Wisconsin Badgers basketball star Sam Dekker is currently playing for the London Lions this season. In eight games this season, he is averaging 20.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. Defensively, Dekker is also averaging 0.8 blocks and 1.0 steals per game. Earlier this week, the London Lions announced that Dekker will be joined by another former Wisconsin Badgers player, Jordan Taylor:

Taylor has already played one game for the London Lions. He scored 13 points on 6-7 shooting (his only miss was a three-pointer) and was 1-1 from the line. Taylor also dished out six assists and grabbed two rebounds. He also had a steal and a block in his first game with the Lions.

    Jordan Taylor with Wisconsin

Jordan Taylor played for the Wisconsin Badgers from 2008-2012. He and Dekker missed playing together by one year. During his time at Wisconsin, Taylor averaged 11.3 points, 3.4 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game. His best season with his junior year in 2010-11 when he averaged 18.1 points, 4.7 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game.

    Taylor’s Career Abroad

Unlike Sam Dekker, who was drafted into the NBA and played for several teams, Jordan Taylor never made an NBA roster. Since leaving Wisconsin, he has played for the Atlanta Hawks (2012) and Milwaukee Bucks (2014) Summer League teams. However, his professional career has taken place outside of the United States.

From 2012 until early 2014, Taylor played for Vitrus Roma of the Italian League where he averaged roughly 11 points, three rebounds, and four assists per game. Taylor spent the 2014 and 2016 seasons with Hapoel Holon in Israel. 2015 saw Taylor playing for Alba Berlin in Germany in between his stints in Israel. From 2017-2022, Taylor played for teams in Turkey, Japan, and Romania.
