The Wisconsin Badgers have sent some great talent to the NFL. One of the most recent players who has had success is TJ Watt. He has been racking up sacks at an alarming rate and he just crossed a career milestone in sacks. TJ Watt became the 3rd fastest player to reach this sacks milestone.

    TJ Watt Sacks Milestone

In just his 84th game in the NFL, TJ Watt reached 75 sacks. Watt has been a menace since entering the league. From 2018-2021, he recorded double-digit sacks in every season. The best season came last year when he recorded 22.5 sacks to break the single-season sack record. This year he has not had as many but this is due to him missing a large portion of the season with an injury. However, his 2.5 sacks this year have pushed him to 75 sacks in his career. He is the 3rd fastest to reach this milestone.

The Other Two On The List Have Wisconsin Ties

The other two players who did it faster than TJ Watt are ones people from Wisconsin will recognize. Brother JJ Watt reached 75 sacks in 82 games beating out his brother only slightly. The number one player on the list reached 75 sacks in a ridiculous amount of games. Hall of Famer and former Green Bay Packer Reggie White only needed 65 games to hit this milestone. The state of Wisconsin has seen some menaces on the line in the past 40 years.

Congratulations to TJ Watt on the milestone. While Watt is doing it for the Pittsburgh Steelers, it is always great to see success from former Badgers. With the pace that Watt is accumulating sacks, it will be interesting to see where he ends up on the all-time list by the time his career is done.
