Aaron Rodgers took place in the sixth edition of “The Match” on Wednesday night. Along with Tom Brady, Rodgers played against Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes in the event that raises money for various charities. Rodgers and Brady won the match after Rodgers drained a clutch putt on the last hole:

The clutch putt, as one might imagine, drew a wide variety of comments on social media. Skip Bayless, of course, had something to say about it. The playoff comments were to be expected given the Packers recent lack of success in the postseason. However, one former Pro Bowl quarterback believes that the putt is a sign of things to come.

Robert Griffin III Believes the Packers Will Win the Super Bowl
Robert Griffin III was, at one point, one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the NFL. Unfortunately, his career was derailed by a serious knee injury. Now an analyst with ESPN, RGIII Tweeted the following after The Match.
Aaron Rodgers came through in the clutch on hole 12 to win The Match must mean the Packers are winning the Super Bowl this year. Clutch gene activated Cheeseheads. #CapitalOnesTheMatch

The Green Bay Packers have won 13 regular season games in each of the past three seasons. Aaron Rodgers has won MVP in each of the past two, but the Packers have fallen short of their ultimate goal each time. Now with a new three-year contract, Rodgers will be looking to finally win his second Super Bowl as the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. If RGIII is right, that will happen this season.
