A former Packers trade target is asking for a lot of money on the free agent market
At one point last season the Green Bay Packers were connected to free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. as he was reportedly ready to return during the 2022 season. After suffering a serious knee injury in the Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Beckham Jr. was preparing for a return and had the interest of a few teams.
But he never signed and is now ready to hit the open market again as free agency starts. However, he has a pretty notable demand.
Per Mike Florio, Beckham Jr. is seeking a contract that is around $20M per year. That’s a big amount for a wide receiver that missed all of 2022 and is coming off a serious injury.
Update: Free-agent WR Odell Beckham is seeking a $20 million a year contract, per Mike Florio.

Now, to be fair to Beckham he is the best available wide receiver on the market as this year’s class just isn’t very good. The injury problem is a concern though and the receiver hoped to prove people wrong with a workout in Arizona that 13 NFL teams attended.
For the Packers, it’s likely they are out on Beckham Jr. either way.
Even if it’s Jordan Love or Aaron Rodgers, it is really hard seeing them go $20M annually for Beckham Jr. especially when they have other needs. If the price is lower, then possibly but for now it’s safe to say they wont be involved.

Come on and take 11-12 Million/year, on a 2-year deal, and be a part of something great in Green Bay.
