The Green Bay Packers have had more turnover this off-season at the wide receiver position than they have in a long time. Davante Adams is in Vegas. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is in Kansas City. E.Q. St. Brown is in Chicago (not that that matter much). That leaves Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and new acquired Sammy Watkins as the presumed “top dogs” at wide receiver. With so much turnover, there is bound to be some comments from those who departed. This season? It has been all good as Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling have both praised Aaron Rodgers ever since he left.
Davante Adams Compares Aaron Rodgers to Michael Jordan
There has been nothing but love between Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams since he was traded in March. They have even golfed together since the trade. The love continued this week as Adams has a pretty significant compliment about Rodgers.
“He’s the best quarterback, in my opinion, to play this game,” Adams said of his former teammate. “He had the Michael Jordan effect. … (He’s) gonna make you play better … just by being on the field.”
Davante Adams definitely has a point. From Jordy Nelson, to James Jones, to Greg Jennings, there have been a plethora of wide receivers whose game dropped off after leaving Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers has that rare ability to make those around him better.
This will have to continue this year
Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins, and Randall Cobb. Those are your top three presumed starters for the 2022 Green Bay Packers. For Watkins and Lazard, the talent is certainly there. Watkins has shown just how explosive he can be at times in his career. At 29 years old, Watkins still has age on his side for a few years. Allen Lazard has the highest passer rating when targeted since 2019. Randall Cobb has been old reliable for Rodgers for a number of years. That’s an added guy that Rodgers trusts catching passes. If health is on their side, those three can be dynamic together.
With the emergence of Romeo Doubs, and untapped potential of Christian Watson, Green Bay‘s wide receiving corps should be no slouch this year. Especially with a four time MVP quarterback leading the way.

I think someone just mentioned to you the other day that you need some receivers this year for Rogers to throw to.
Yeah Rodgers will most likely win nfc North again. I’m from Minnesota so I’m used to Rodgers walloping my vikings like every year. But new recievers are like this, really great and stay great or they just can’t play in the next level but with a quarter back like Aaron I hope he makes mistakes this season so my vikings can win the north and become champs for the first time ever super bowl Champs that is but no doubt Rodgers is as good as any qb to line up behind center he can make a bad team great by himself so yup he is one of the all time greats. But vikings are due pass rush we have might the best in NFC or the both AFC too. Hope it’s an exciting season this year for my team though for once. We know Aaron Rodgers is going to be ready. But so will Minnesota……SKOL YO!!!!
