The Green Bay Packers have moved on from a number of wide receivers over the last year or so. Most notable were Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. They are now in Las Vegas and Kansas City respectively. Equanimeous St. Brown also departed Green Bay in the off-season for Chicago. However, this article isn’t about any of those three wide receivers. Recently the Packers released WR Amari Rodgers, and the Houston Texans claimed him off waivers. He had a career day today for the Texans.
Amari Rodgers Has Career Day For Houston Texans
While it came in a 23-27 loss, Amari Rodgers made his contributions known on offense today. The Houston Texans took their game with the 10-3 Cowboys down to the wire. Part of that was due to help from WR Amari Rodgers who finished the day with 4 receptions for 57 yards and one touchdown. He also had one carry for three yards.
According to NFL Research, Amari Rodgers had more receiving yards from Jeff Driskel (28) and Davis Mills (29) in Week 14 than he ever had in a full game with Aaron Rodgers at QB (22 was his single-game high with the Packers). Here is a video of Rodgers’ impressive TD catch today vs the Cowboys:
