Former Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Mike Daniels was always a fan favorite. He last played for Green Bay in 2018, but Packers fans have always cheered for his success elsewhere. For this reason, Packers fans may be excited to know that the 33-year old Daniels recently had a tryout. The Kansas City Chiefs hosted Daniels and four other defensive players for a tryout. Daniels acknowledged the tryout and thanked the Chiefs for their hospitality.
Keep your prayers up for me. It was a great day! Thank you @Chiefs for the beautiful hospitality!! https://t.co/WNws4JaAao

Mike Daniels with the Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers selected Daniels in the fourth round (132nd overall pick) of the 2012 NFL Draft. Daniels made an immediate impact on the Packers, returning a fumble for a touchdown as rookie.
Daniels put together seven solid seasons for the Packers. In his second season, Daniels recorded a career-high 6.5 sacks while playing in a reserve role. In 2014, Daniels became a starter and began a streak in which he started every game for the Packers for three straight seasons. During those three seasons, Daniels had 13.5 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, 81 tackles, and 37 quarterback hits.
In 2017, Daniels played in 14 games and made his only career Pro Bowl. That year, he had 5.0 sacks, 49 tackles, a forced fumble, and 14 quarterback hits.
2018 would be Daniels’ last year in Green Bay. He played in 10 games, registering 2.0 sacks and 18 tackles.
Post Green Bay Career
After his days in a Packers uniform were over, Daniels played one season with the Detroit Lions. He spent 2020 and 2021 with the Cincinnati Bengals, but did not register a sack in any of those seasons. In the past three years, Daniels has played in 22 of a possible 50 games. That being said, there may still be some gas left in the tank, and a team like the Kansas City Chiefs could really use him.
