Henry Hasselbeck Commits To Wisconsin Badgers’ Rival Michigan State
Henry Hasselbeck commented on why he chose the Michigan State Spartans:
“What stood out to me when it came to Michigan State was how fast I fell in love with the campus. I could really see myself going to school here in East Lansing. That, combined with building a great relationship with Coach Johnson, brought an enticing feel to Michigan State.”
Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him
“Coach Johnson has demonstrated, on numerous occasions to me that he genuinely cares for his quarterbacks and he challenges them to lead in their program. Our relationship is very strong. I know I will be able to develop under his coaching as a player and a man. Something special Michigan State has is coach Novak, their head strength coach. He was a strength coach for the Tennessee Titans when my father played for them. Talking with Coach Mel Tucker was extremely impressive, he has a great vision for this team and I’d love to be a part of the group that takes it there.”
Matt Hasselbeck Spent Time Playing For The Green Bay Packers
Matt Hasselbeck spent two seasons behind Brett Favre when he joined the NFL. He was eventually traded to the Seattle Seahawks and Mike Holmgren, the coach who helped draft him for the Packers in the sixth round. The Packers received the Seahawks’ first-round selection, the 10th pick overall, and their third-round selection, the 72nd pick. Seattle also received the Packers’ first-round choice, which is No. 17 overall.
