Lots of current NBA players expressed their complaints about how those who came before them are just all about dissing the current state of the sport and the league. One of them is Evan Turner. At least when it comes to Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The 2010 second overall pick riled up many Bucks fans before for the statements he made about their team’s superstar.
They can expect now that it will stop as the former Indiana Pacers forward decided he will take a different direction.
The Pacers played the Bucks and won game one with the Greek Freak scoring 36 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. He trails Lebron James as the player in the league with the most 30/10 game in the last ten years.
Turner probably watched the game, with the Pacers being his former team, and finally got awaken. He wrote:
I gotta apologize once again for all the Giannis hate that I’ve bestowed upon the world in the past
Idk what I was thinking
Buddy is dominant

Times Evan Turner dissed Giannis Antetokounmpo
Antetokounmpo has indeed been dominant in the past six seasons, having won two MVPs, one Defensive Player of the Year, one Finals MVP and one title.
It’s fascinating how they were still not enough for Turner, until the Saturday game.
Before that, he incessantly dissed Antetokounmpo whether for his on court antics or off court interviews. Sometimes, he trolls Giannis unprovoked.
In September of 2023, he commented dismissively on Antetokounmpo and his brother Thanasis. He denied it but everybody knew he was referring to.
Two months after, he had an opinion about Antetokounmpo and his beef with the Pacers when he tracked the ball used when he recorded his career high of 64 points.
S/o to Giannis for setting a career record in points and goofiness

I saw Giannis last night and Buddy kept it player and showed me a lot thru his speech (pause) and confidence in who he is. Buddy actually got a championship mindset, you can see why he’s successful
I still don’t have him in my top 5, but I can respect greatness
