As the Green Bay Packers get ready to enter NFL free agency, it appears that the Aaron Rodgers drama could be coming to an end soon. Reports have stated that Rodgers has spoken with the New York Jets and that the Jets’ brass are meeting in person with Rodgers as well. If that is the case, the time for Jordan Love to be the Packers’ starter will begin in the 2023 season.
What a whirlwind this offseason has already been for Green Bay. The crazy part is that the offseason hasn’t even begun.
With that being said, many Packers’ fans would be ecstatic to see the team move on from Rodgers. That doesn’t mean that Rodgers would part ways with the franchise like Brett Favre did. In fact, he would part with love on both sides and would always be a part of the community and Packers’ family.
All of the attention has been on Rodgers that very little has been talked about how Jordan Love feels about everything. Well, we finally have that answer.
Jordan Love’s Former Coach Reveals What His Main Focus Has Been Amid The Drama
According to a report from Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, Love’s former quarterbacks coach Steve Calhoun revealed what Love has been focused on. Quite simply, he has been focused on becoming the next starting quarterback for the Packers.
As we await Aaron Rodgers decision, Jordan Love’s QB coach Steve Calhoun told me Love’s main focus is becoming Packers starting QB.

That is exactly the answer that Packers fans love to hear. Love has not allowed himself to get dragged into the media game and is simply focused on winning the job he wants. He has bided his time behind Rodgers and is now ready to replace the all-time great under center.
In limited time during the 2022 season, Jordan Love showcased a much-improved game. He completed 66.7 percent of his pass attempts for 195 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions.

Even star running back Aaron Jones spoke out about Love and how much belief he and the entire team has in the young quarterback.
“Us guys in the locker room, we know we control what we can control. Just focus on yourself, get the offseason started and going, and control what you can control. If he’s here, great, we love it. If he’s not, we’ll be sad. We’d lose one of our leaders, one of our great locker room guys. It’s hard to replace somebody like that. But I think if that was to happen, Jordan is definitely ready.”
Granted, that isn’t Jones saying that he wants Rodgers to leave and be replaced by Jordan Love. However, it is clear that no one in Green Bay thinks the Packers would be lost without Rodgers.
Expect to continue hearing rumors and news about Rodgers in the coming days. Jordan Love appears ready to step into the starting job and fans cannot wait to begin a new era of football in Green Bay.
