A former Badgers defensive star has recovered from an injury
The start of the NFL season didn’t go well for a former Badgers star. Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt sustained a severe injury in Week 1 of the 2022 regular season. The four-time Pro Bowl star had one interception to start the season but had to leave the game with a torn pectoral muscle. It was unclear if Watt would be able to play again this season.
According to multiple reports, T.J. Watt is expected to play in Week 10 for the Steelers. Here’s a report by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network via Twitter:

The Steelers will play the New Orleans Saints Sunday at noon EST. The Steelers have a 2-6 record heading into their Week 10 game. Watt’s presence has been missed on the Steelers’ roster while he’s been rehabbing. The Steelers rank 27th out of the 32 NFL teams in sacks this season, with only 15 total sacks.
Watt led the league in sacks last season with 22.5 total sacks. That put him four sacks ahead of his competition, Nick Bosa, who had 19.5 sacks last season with the San Francisco 49ers. The Steelers have not been able to get a consistent pass without Watt. The Steelers, as a whole, have left a lot to be desired. The team has been in a rebuild mode for 2022 as the team pivoted from quarterback Mitch Trubisky to rookie Kenny Pickett.
