National Signing Day is in full swing! When Luke Fickell was hired, many wondered if he could bring over any of his Cincinnati commits. One of the first to announce his decision to flip from Cincinnati was CB Jonas Duclona. While there wasn’t much doubt he would sign, it is always nice when it becomes official. Jonas Duclona has signed an NLI with the Badgers.

    Jonas Duclona Signs NLI

Duclona is a 3-star CB out of Naples Florida. He had seven pass breakups in his senior season with his high school team. His skills have improved over the last year. His footwork and football IQ has given him an edge against his opponents. Duclona’s ball skills have improved which has led to more pass breakups and interceptions. He originally committed to Cincinnati in June but decommitted in November when Fickell came over to Madison. This is yet another massive recruit for the Badgers, especially in the secondary as he is a top 100 CB in this year’s class.

Lots Of Signings Are Expected Today

We are in the early signing period for college football. Expect to see a lot of recruits sign an NLI today. The Badgers have been at the bottom of the Big Ten in terms of recruiting classes but the next couple of months could change things. As more commits begin to sign, it will be interesting to see if Wisconsin jumps up the list. I doubt they will catch the programs like Michigan and Ohio State but it might be close depending on how aggressive Luke Fickell gets on the recruiting trail.

It was great to see Jonas Duclona officially an NLI. Wisconsin fans should look forward to watching him on Saturdays in the coming seasons.
