Halloween is finally here, which means it’s high time for everyone to turn their costume ideas into reality. For former Green Bay Packers star running back Aaron Jones Sr., it was an easy decision what to get his son for an outfit.

Jones recently shared a video of his son showing up on the field dressed up as him, complete with a helmet, a pair of gloves and a jersey with his name and number on it.

The NFL also shared the heartwarming video via the league’s official X, formerly Twitter, account.

Meanwhile, Jones finally returned to action after missing four games due to a hamstring injury. However, he only had 15 rushing yards on five carries in Minnesota’s 37-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in a Thursday Night Football matchup in Week 8.

While the costume of Jones’ son wasn’t exactly a unique one, it still drew touching reactions from fans online. It’s all about the thought that was put in it, a gesture that shows the special bond between a child and a father.

“Absolute legend move 😭💜 That’s peak dad energy right there!” said a fan on X.

Another one said: “Kids dressing as their dads hits different when dad plays in the NFL. Jones putting together a solid year with the Vikings – 653 yards through nine games. The family stuff matters.”

From a commenter: “What a heartwarming moment! Dressing up as a beloved parent for Halloween is a tradition that never gets old”

“He’s adorable, bet he’s got style too,” a social media user posted.

Via a different commenter: “This is what fatherhood is all about🔥”

Said another: “Love between a Son and a Father on Halloween week is unmatched energy. Aaron Jones, great job!”

Jones and the 3-4 Vikings will look to snap a two-game skid in Week 9, when they play the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday. The Vikings are also scheduled to face the Packers in Week 12 and Week 18.
