It has been three years since Davante Adams’ shock departure from the Green Bay Packers that ended his productive partnership with Aaron Rodgers but who knows where he might head next in his career?
Switch back to a different shade of green, maybe?
The 32-year-old wide receiver sent Packers fans in frenzy when he admitted that a return to the team could be possible.
He spent seven years with the Wisconsin team and won five of his Pro Bowl with them. He and Aaron Rodgers made a formidable duo during their time together. Unfortunately, he was the one who has to leave first because of contract issues.
“You know, you can’t rule anything out. I’ve got a lot of love for all the organizations I’ve played for, so I wouldn’t rule out anybody. I mean that.” Adams said when asked by Kay Adams during his guesting at the Up and Adams Show on Saturday.
“The Packers are a great team, and if they felt like that was a possibility for me.”
That is probably just a courteous answer to a simple question. He insisted his focus remains as his current team which is the New York Jets.
“Like I said I’m still with the Jets so I can’t be talking about going to other teams.”
He and Rodgers eventually reunited with the Jets although it might come to an end soon.
Green Bay Packers fans reaction to Davante Adams’ statement
Adams’ words are enough to make Packers fans feel excited despite his words being just civil.
“(yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes)” wrote Packers writer Eli Berkovits.
Others pointed out how the Packers need a quality receiver.
Packers need him all their receivers not good enough and watson or something is out for the the whole next year
