Los Angeles Rams receiver Davante Adams produced quite the accomplishment in 2025 by putting his name next to Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, the all-time leader in catches, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns, in NFL archives.
The former Packers star led all receivers in touchdowns, 14, despite missing the Rams’ last three games with a hamstring injury. Along with Rice, Adams is the only player to pace the field outright (no ties) while missing that much time.

Adams earns elite company in year one as Ram
In his first season as a Ram, Adams brought in 14 TDs in 14 games, a touchdown rate of 23% on catches (60) and 12% on targets (114). He and quarterback Matthew Stafford forged a red zone connection as if they had played together for years.
Los Angeles signed Adams to a two-year, $44 million deal in free agency. After leaving the Packers, he spent three and a half seasons in Las Vegas and half a season with Aaron Rodgers and the Jets in 2024. With the Rams, Adams has returned to red zone dominance with his first double-digit TD season, the seventh of his career, in three years.

How he joined Rice in the record books: Adams pulled up during a Week 15 win over the Lions and did not play a snap the rest of the season, but still led the league in TD catches by a comfortable margin. Four players tied for second at 11 apiece.
Rice achieved the same feat in 1987 by bringing in 22 touchdowns in 12 games. He’s in the Hall of Fame, atop almost every receiving leaderboard that exists, for a reason. The league leader five other times, Rice is 41 touchdowns ahead of the next closest player on the all-time leaderboard, the great Randy Moss, with 197 in his career.
For his part, Adams, now a three-time league leader, has climbed to seventh all-time. At 117 TDs, he sits four behind Larry Fitzgerald in sixth and leads all active players. His 14 in 2025 tied the second-most in his career, behind only the 18 he had in 2020 with the Packers.

Adams is also 16th all-time in total catches (1,017) and, with 789 receiving yards this season, 26th in yards (12,633).
After nearly a month on the sidelines, he is expected back on the field today for the Rams’ Wild Card matchup against the Panthers at 4:30 ET.
