Romeo Doubs failed to finish Green Bay Packers wildcard game against the Philadelphia Eagles, which is regretful because of three reasons.
First, he is one of the key players in the team who can make immediate impact. Second, it is a playoff game. It was everything they worked for throughout the season.
Third, his performance in that game could have had an impact for next season as he is entering his contract year.
The 24-year-old wide receiver had heavier load on his shoulder coming into the game with Christian Watson out of the line-up because of injury in Week 18 game against the Bears.
A stellar performance could have contributed to his status and how much the organization will offer him in the 2025 season.
Romeo Doubs’ future with Packers isn’t assured
The future of several players was immediately discussed by pundits and analysts after their exit and among those that need to be urgently addressed is that of Doubs.
Former Packers offensive tackle Mark Tauscher is not convinced with what Doubs showed this season but he has a chance to do more in the new season, his contract year.
Romeo Doubs, it will be a monster year to prove if he’s gonna be a Pack moving forward. There’s a lot of question mark about how he operates this season. He is gonna have to be uhmmm, he is gonna really have to elevate for Green Bay to give him another contract.
Doubs signed a 4-year contract worth $4.3 million in his rookie yearand has been an effective WR since then.
Had 147 receptions, 1,700 receiving yards, and 15 receiving touchdowns in the regular season.
