The Wisconsin Badgers have some work to do this weekend as they are on the bubble in the latest ESPN Bracketology projections
The month of February will be an important one for the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program. And that starts with Sunday’s home game against Northwestern.
After getting off to a good start this season, Wisconsin has stumbled a bit losing 6 of their last 8 games and are now 11th in the Big Ten. They did get a big win over Ohio State on Thursday night but the team is on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament according to Joe Lunardi of ESPN.
Lunardi updated his Bracketology on Friday going into a big weekend of college hoops. In his bracket, Lunardi doesn’t have the Badgers in the Field of 68 but does put them in the list of “next four out.” The Badgers are on the bubble as the No. 73 team behind Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Florida and Charleston for the “first four out.”
Kentucky, West Virginia, Nevada, and Oklahoma State currently make up the “last four in” selections.

Wisconsin Badgers have work to do
The good news for the Wisconsin Badgers is that there is an entire month of basketball plus the Big Ten Tournament to be played. They are going to need a winning month and with 9 games left, a 6-3 or 7-2 record seems ideal for the program.
Their first test in that stretch is a Northwestern team that is currently in the field of 68 per Lunardi but one of the last four byes. Getting a win over a fellow bubble team would be huge for the Badgers.
