It may have only happened a couple days ago, but there has already been a plethora of rumors surrounding why Draymond Green was so upset with a Bucks fan on Tuesday night. After a verbal altercation with the fan, Green asked that the fan be removed, which he was. However, it sounds like the fan received a full refund and a promise from the Bucks to courtside seats at a future game. What exactly did that fan say, and why was Green so worked up about it?
Bucks Fan: “We’re Giving You a Pass”
As more and more facts have come out, it sounds like the fan was yelling “We’re [Milwaukee] giving you a pass.” A pass for what? Well, for Green sucker punching Jordan Poole this offseason. Poole is a Milwaukee native and fans still hold him in high regard.
Twitter user @TheWarriorsTalk was able to capture some audio of the interaction, which took place during Giannis Antetokounmpo free throw attempts.
Fan that was ejected from the Bucks game per Draymond Green’s request says that he told Draymond “We’re giving you a pass”. The fan was talking about giving Dray a pass for punching Milwaukee native Jordan Poole.

Perhaps we should have known that whatever the fan said was not really all that bad. Take a look at this footage, and Steph Curry’s reaction. Curry asked Green what the fan said:

The fan was invited onto a podcast, hosted by Kris Johnson, to give his side of the story:

Listen. Draymond Green is who he is. The Bucks are not the kind of organization that rewards bad behavior, and if they refunded the fan’s tickets AND promised him courtside seats to a future game, then the fan’s account is likely the more accurate one.
Of note, Draymond Green was ejected in the Warriors’ next game after accumulating two technical fouls.
