Since the beginning of the 2022 off-season, DK Metcalf’s name has been floated around as a trade target. Those rumors really picked up after Russell Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos. Since then there have been reports of Seattle listening to offers, but nothing imminent. Today on the Shay Shay Podcast DK Metcalf addressed these rumors:
“We’re going to get something done. I think I’m gonna be in Seattle for the next coming years.”

There is still a lot of work that needs to get done if Seattle wants to re-sign DK Metcalf. Additionally, some question the logic of paying a wide receiver top end money when there’s no franchise QB to throw him the ball.
Trading DK Metcalf for picks and then using those picks to trade up in the draft to nab your next QB may be the better option. QB Bryce Young coming out of Alabama already seems to be the consensus number one pick in next year’s draft.
either way, it would appear that the star wide receiver is currently off the market. However the same thing was said about AJ Brown and the Tennessee Titans up until draft night.
