When the Milwaukee Bucks traded for PJ Tucker ahead of the NBA trade deadline, nearly everything about the deal was perfect. The Bucks shed salary this season and got out of a bad contract with DJ Augustin. The funds saved allowed them to later sign free agent point guard Jeff Teague. The only aspect of the trade fans detested was that the Bucks also had to take Rodions Kurucs in the deal.
Why Do Fans Hate Rodions Kurucs?
Rodions Kurucs has been disdained by NBA fans for an incident in which he assaulted his girlfriend in 2019. At the time, Kurucs was a player for the Brooklyn Nets. Over a month ago, Kurucs pled guilty to disorderly conduct, which is a non-criminal charge in New York City.
Regardless, Kurucs has been widely disdained on social media by the fans of whatever team he plays for. This roster move could very well mark the end of his NBA career.
