The Packers won’t be landing this former All-Pro wide receiver as he will sign with Baltimore
With the Green Bay Packers needing some help on the offense for Aaron Rodgers, rumors swirled about potential additions. One of those names was wide receiver DeSean Jackson.
The former Pro Bowl receiver hinted that he would love to sign with the Packers coming out of retirement and make an impact. However, on Tuesday Jackson worked out for the Baltimore Ravens and will sign there instead.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news on Tuesday afternoon as Jackson has been signed to the Ravens following his workout:
The #Ravens are signing veteran FA WR DeSean Jackson after his workout today, per agent @DrewJRosenhaus.

Now, this isn’t the end of the world for the Packers. But it is a little disappointing to see another free-agent receiver opt to sign elsewhere. Maybe Green Bay didn’t want to give him a look or maybe he wasn’t all that interested in playing for the Packers.
What remains clear is that the Packers are going to need to find production somewhere on the roster, especially with Randall Cobb’s injury. Where that production comes from is the biggest question to loom in the coming weeks.
Until then, let the rumors and speculation continue to develop.
