This week Vinny Curry will be back to what he loves after a long journey back. The defensive end, making his debut with the jets, hasn’t played since 2020. The Jets took him off injured reserve in order for him to make his debut with the team against the Packers.

Curry first went out in 2021 when he had to have his spleen removed. Doctors diagnosed him with a rare blood disease that caused his spleen to enlarge. Then during his recovery doctors found that he was suffering from blood clots and would need to take blood thinners with no physical activity.

The Jets had signed him in March of 2021 and after missing last season he was finally ready to return to start this season. Although he would suffer yet another setback. In training camp he injured his hamstring. Sidelined again to start the season curry once again was focused on recovery. After all that he has fought his way back and practiced with the team last week. Looking ready in practice the Jets took him off injured reserve so the defensive end can finally make his return.

Whether you’re a Packers or Jets fan everyone has to feel good about his return after the journey he’s had. A definite feel good moment both sides can agree on before they go to battle on the field.

He will be returning to a solid rotation on the defensive line. Even without Jermaine Johnson whom will be out because of an ankle injury.
