David Bakhtiari had an emergency appendectomy last week and missed Sunday’s game. He said he let the trainer know about some midsection pain and upon looking more into it, it was discovered his appendix needed to be removed. On Twitter, Bakhtiari was asked what he did with his appendix and he was happy to joke with fans. David Bakhtiari revealed what he did with his appendix.
Gave it to @AaronRodgers12 for his birthday. He said, “I couldn’t live without it.” I replied, “Me neither.”

David Bakhtiari Gifts Appendix To Rodgers
It is well-documented that Bakhtiari and Aaron Rodgers are very good friends. The funny thing about this tweet is that I am not sure whether he is joking or serious. There is absolutely a world where Bakhtiari gave his appendix to Rodgers or this could be some ribbing between friends. Regardless, it was a hilarious response when asked. Bakhtiari is known for interacting with fans and engaging when he can on social media. It is one of the reasons he is so well-liked.
Will Bakhtiari Play Again This Season?
It is unclear whether we will see Bakhtiari again this season. The appendectomy has a recovery timeline and the Packers do not want to rush him. Rookie Zach Tom has filled in well and with Bakhtiari’s knee still being monitored, the Packers will continue to be cautious. Bakhtiari is one of the big offseason contract decisions the Packers will have to make. Cutting him saves a lot of cap space. However, when he plays, he is one of the top tackles in the league.
I’m sure Aaron Rodgers was not expecting David Bakhtiari to gift him his appendix. Hopefully, this is not the last we have seen of the Rodgers and Bakhtiari combination in Packers uniforms.
