Pro Football Focus is a website that grades players and their performances throughout the season. Using these grades, analysts and fans are able to keep tabs on what players are on the rise and which ones may be declining. This past season, Packers’ wide receiver Davante Adams was PFF’s top grade wide receiver in 2020.
The Final Grades
Davante Adams ended 2020 with a 92.0 grade according to Pro Football Focus. Justin Jefferson and A.J. Brown tied for second in the NFL with grades of 90.4. Stefon Diggs was fourth with a 90.2. Allen Robinson, Adam Thielen, Deandre Hopkins, Juilo Jones, Will Fuller V, and Corey Davis rounded out the top ten.
Other Impress Grades for Adams
Not only does PFF give out final grades every season, they grade players in every game, on every play, in every scenario. Here are some of the scenarios in which Adams dominated the NFL:
Red Zone Receiving Touchdowns

It is no secret, at least in Green Bay, that Davante Adams is Aaron Rodgers’ go-to target in the red zone. It is becoming apparent that Adams just might be the best red zone receiver in the NFL today, and could be the best ever when it is all said and done.
Wide Receivers in Single Coverage
Highest-graded WRs vs. single coverage since 2018:

🔥 DeAndre Hopkins – 95.4 pic.twitter.com/d6VOYhjNv2— PFF (@PFF) February 14, 2021
Opposing defenses try to double or triple team Davante Adams whenever possible. However, they cannot do that all the time. When Adams is in single coverage, Rodgers is undoubtedly looking his way, and for good reason. Not even All Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey could stop Adams in the playoffs.
Third Down
Highest-graded WRs on 3rd down:
💥 Davante Adams – 91.3
💥 Keenan Allen – 88.7 pic.twitter.com/e5I3yDqui5— PFF (@PFF) February 16, 2021
Like in the red zone, Adams thrives when the pressure is high on third down. With the best route running in the NFL, Adams is able to create separation and get open for first down throws. This past season, Adams had 73 first down receptions, the most in his career.
