Davante Adams praises Derek Carr
Davante Adams was blessed in Green Bay. The former Packers wide receiver had a four-time NFL MVP throwing him footballs. Adams had over 8,000 yards and 73 touchdowns during Adams’ eight years with the Packers. Most of those yards and touchdowns were with a healthy Rodgers at quarterback.
Adams has a downgrade at quarterback this year with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders starting quarterback is Derek Carr. In the offseason, Adams compared Carr and Rodgers. Adams said the two were similar. The statement seemed odd, comparing Carr to a future Hall of Fame quarterback.
Davante Adams offered an update on the comparison between Carr and Rodgers after four weeks into the NFL regular season this week on The Matt Lombardo Show:
“I mean, they are two guys that expect a lot from themselves and they don’t, they’re not satisfied with anything less than a A-plus great effort out there. And they want greatness every time they hit the field.
Obviously one is a four-time MVP, you know, Super Bowl-winning quarterback, and another one is slightly younger, extremely accomplished, but hasn’t really had some of the acknowledgements or the accolades that Aaron has.
[Carr’s] probably had some of the most adversity from any other quarterbacks that I know of, let alone known personally.
To see what he’s done and to see the mentallity that he still has and…the intentionality. Both guys bring everything they’ve got every single day, and you see the results in the way that they play.
Adams hasn’t won as much with the Raiders though
The early season pairing of Carr and Adams has been great for the newcomer on the stat sheet. Adams has three touchdowns and 290 yards receiving in his first four games with the Raiders. But the team is 1-3, and the losses have been frustrating for Adams. Time will tell how the relationship between Adams and Carr will go if the team doesn’t make the postseason. Being a playoff contender wasn’t something Adams had to worry about with Rodgers.

Shocking! Clark got beat in SB 45 by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Can’t be any bias there 🤣. Also, the Packers are not going to put anyone on the field who has the slightest chance of not being 100%!! OBJ wouldn’t have to be the guy, but in the rotation, if healthy, he knows the offense, and would be awesome.
