Davante Adams Latest Instagram Post Ignites Aaron Rodgers Trade Rumors

Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers are among the best quarterback/wide receiver duos in NFL history. Last offseason, the Green Bay Packers traded Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders for a first and second round pick. This deal was done after the Packers placed the franchise tag on Adams, who stated he would refuse to play under it. Despite being offered a massive contract extension by Green Bay, Adams requested to be traded. He wanted to go to the Raiders to play with Derek Carr, his college quarterback, and to be closer to his family. Of course, things did not work out the way Adams might have planned.

Davante Adams Found Success While His Team Did Not

For the sixth consecutive season, Adams was named to the Pro Bowl. For the third season in a row, he was named as a First Team All-Pro. Despite the Raiders’ struggles, Adams had 100 receptions for 1,516 yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns. His 1,516 receiving yards were the second most in his career (1,553 in 2021) and his 15.6 yards per reception were, by far, the best in his career.

The Raiders, however, finished the year 6-11 and Carr was dismissed from the team. He will not be back next season, leading to big questions surrounding the quarterback position in Las Vegas. For a hot minute, some believed that Tom Brady might be interested in playing there. Brady, however, retired on Wednesday killing that rumor as quickly as it begun.

Davante Adams Makes a Mysterious Social Media Post

Packers fans are all-too-familiar with cryptic posts from their favorite players. Last season, Adams and Rodgers posting “The Last Dance” pictures on Instagram signaled that 2021 was to be their last year together. Now that his friend will no longer be the Raiders quarterback, it seems as if Adams is hoping for one last “last dance.”

From Davante Adams IG…..I’ve been saying a along Aaron Rodgers to the @Raiders makes the most sense…I’m not ready to throw down the #bukidamus guarantee but it’s getting real mufukan close #RaiderNation 😂😭🤣 pic.twitter.com/VkagixhRDN

The video is of Rodgers and Adams linking up for a completion as Packers players. It is also in black and silver, the colors of the Raiders’ uniforms. With rumors of a possible Aaron Rodgers trade abounding, it seems as if Adams is lobbying to get his former teammate to join him in Las Vegas.
