Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers had lots of memories together, particularly during their run together with the Green Bay Packers. They were briefly teammates during their time with the New York Jets as well.
Now that Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are out of the NFL playoffs after they lost to the Houston Texans at home in an AFC Divisional Round game at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on Monday, the quarterback’s future in the NFL has become a major talking point. Chances are, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer has already played his last game.
Davante Adams shares take on Rodgers after Steelers’ playoff exit
Adams shared his thoughts on the way the season ended for Rodgers, whom he believes deserves at least one more Super Bowl ring.
“One, I’m heartbroken for him because I know how much he wants it,” Adams said during an appearance on “Up & Adams.”
Added the former Fresno State Bulldogs wide receiver and current Los Angeles Rams star wideout:
“I know how much he deserves it, obviously. And to see that game end that way, that’s not how any of us saw it happening. Definitely don’t want his career to end that way. You know, that’s one of my best friends, so that hurts me, hurts my heart a little bit to watch, but ultimately just hoping that there is something left there for him to continue going. I just want to see him happy and see him finish at least the way he deserves to finish.”
As for Adams, he has a chance to win his first Super Bowl this season, as the Rams are still alive in the NFL playoffs.
Adams and the Rams passed their test in the NFC Wild Card Round by defeating the Carolina Panthers and will next face the Chicago Bears, who eliminated the Packers, in the NFC Divisional Round.
