The New York Jets have already filled major vacancies in their offseason, with Aaron Glenn taking over as the team’s new head coach and Darren Mougey as new general manager. As for Aaron Rodgers, that’s an item the Jets surely are going to tackle as they look to turn things around after a disappointing season with the future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback.

Meanwhile, Rodgers and Jets wide receiver Davante Adams recently had a fun time in Las Vegas. Adams, who, like Rodgers, used to play for Green Bay Pacers, shared a post on social media showing the signal-caller enjoying a game of golf with him at Shadow Creek Golf Course.

Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Jets, in the NFL still up in the air

Whether Rodgers will be back with the Jets for at least one more season or not largely depends on him. There are rumors that he could retire, and New York certainly would love to know if that is going to be the case the soonest time possible. As for Adams, he will still get paid in 2025 and 2026 which is covered by his current contract. The Jets can ask him to reconstruct his deal, but Adams can deny them and just wait for the team to release him.

It will be interesting to see where Adams and Rodgers will end up after the offseason or whether they’ll still be playing together in 2025.

Rodgers still looks like a viable option under center for the Jets but he’s also 41 years old. In 2024, he passed for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns versus 11 interceptions on a 63.0 percent shooting from the floor. Meanwhile, Adams had 854 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 67 receptions through 11 games with the Jets that same year.
