Milwaukee Bucks fans thought their team played like the contender they identified themselves as against the Sacramento Kings and Damian Lillard it is high time for them to bring such energy from here on. Be motivated.
The Bucks poured cold water on the hot-streaking Sacramento Kings who were boasting a seven-game streaking coming to the game.
Lillard and company controlled the game starting from the second half of the first quarter. The team had a two-point lead in the six minutes mark and then surged to a 47-26 lead from there. They never looked back since then.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for them with 33-13-11 while Lillard contributed 24 points and seven assists.
It was a night that Bucks fans can pin on their board as a testament that they can be a really great team against the best ones whenever they want to.
The win comes at a time when the Bucks are being criticized for not having a single win against the Top 3 teams in the Eastern conference.
Everything clicked for the Bucks. Coach Doc Rivers said they key behind it is their balanced scoring and defense.
Damian Lillard preaches self-awareness and accountability
It was a game when Bucks players played like they know they have something to give. That is the kind of energy Lillard wants to see from the team moving forward.
Talking to reporters post-game, he suggested that main problem is self-governance, which should also lead to holding each other accountable.
He also said that they should be to tell each other that they are playing subpar compared to the potential that they have.
The ups and downs, you know, we’re too good of a team for it. We see what it looks like when we do these things and when we don’t. I think it’s just reached a point where we gotta address each other however we need to just be like, you know, enough is enough.
We know what’s right and we know what’s wrong. We know when somebody is doing their job and they’re not. And we gotta be willing to have those kind of uncomfortable moments with each other.
The Bucks will need the same energy not even 24 hours as Jamahl Mosley and the rest of pesky Orlando Magic pay them a visit.
