To no surprise, the Boilermakers fanbase reacted to the loss against the Golden Eagles. This is what they said about the loss:

Credit to Marquette you got a damn good team

Turnovers and missed free throws… granted Marquette is really good defensively but that was ugly. And Will Berg… liability is an understatement

    — Brian Schaler (@brian_schaler) November 20, 2024

full props to marquette, they have a dominant defense and I really hope they make it far this year

I love Loyer, but man Loyer being on the ground so much….thought we were over that from last year lol.

Transition year. Always thought this year would be a development year after losing Edey. A lot of upside, but some bumps. Still love my Boilers. Trust in Painter!

    — Fluffernutter Samich (@kjboiler) November 20, 2024

A lot of Boilermakers fans have no issue with head coach Matt Painter. It will be a long season for them, but they will no doubt be serious contenders in the BIG10 Conference once again.
