As was first reported by Shams Charania, former Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans will meet with and workout for Milwaukee. The former number four overall pick was recently reinstated into the NBA. Evans served a three-year suspension for violating the league’s anti-drug program.

Career Numbers
Over the course of 10 seasons with four different organizations, Tyreke Evans appeared in 594 games and started 426 of them. Evans averaged 15.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game for his career. Making 44% of his shots including 32.3% from three-point range, Evans can be a streaky shooter.
The best season that Evans had was arguably his rookie season. Taking home Rookie of the Year, Evans averaged 20.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He can certainly stuff a stat sheet; over his 10 NBA seasons, he’s accumulated three triple-doubles.
Evans’ Fit with Milwaukee
Evans is reportedly in good physical condition at the age of 32. Measuring 6’6″, he primarily plays shooting guard. However, Tyreke has spent time at small forward too, as well as at point guard.
Coach Mike Budenholzer could deploy a variety of versatile lineups with the addition of Evans. Offensively, Evans could be a facilitator with a starting unit. Although he probably wouldn’t be a starter, he would bring a great scoring punch off the bench. The ability for Evans to create his own shot could provide immensely valuable whenever he’s on the floor.
Scoring is never much of an issue with Giannis, Khris and Jrue. Defensively, these three players are some of the best in the league. Adding a player like Tyreke Evans to the mix allows for defensive flexibility. Evans has the ability to guard 1-3 on the floor each possession. A solid wing player, he would provide value almost immediately to the Milwaukee Bucks.
