The Cleveland Cavaliers face themselves down 3-1 in the series against the Indiana Pacers. Cleveland maybe faced with difficult questions to the roster in the offseason if they are not to come back in the series against Indiana.

One player that the Cavaliers fanbase has been fantasizing in trying to acquire in a trade during the offseason is Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks could very well be trading Antetokounmpo during the offseason. With other NBA teams looking to trade for him this offseason, the Cavaliers fanbase reacted to a potential mock trade between Milwaukee and Cleveland in the offseason.
Cleveland Cavaliers Fans React To Mock Trade By ESPN Radio For Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo

On Monday morning, Cavaliers fans are wondering what is next for them after being down 3-1 in the series against the Pacers. ESPN Radio in Cleveland asked an interesting question on Twitter involving a mock trade between the Cavaliers and the Bucks. They asked:
The Really Big Show wants to know: would you trade Evan Mobley and Darius Garland for Giannis Antetokounmpo?
— ESPN Cleveland (@ESPNCleveland) May 12, 2025
In the poll, 42% of Cleveland fans would make the trade and 57% of fans would not make this trade. Cavaliers fans would not want to see Mobley traded, but they would have no issue seeing Garland traded. This is what some other Cleveland fans said on social media about this question:
mitchell and mobley should be the only 2 players untouchable
the others can go

We really need to not even talk this nonsense into the atmosphere.
Mobley could go down as an ALL TIME Cavalier – keep his name out of your mouth Rizzo.

95% percent of coaches & GM’s don’t understand talent, or what it takes to win a championship.
Hire a guy who understands 6th man & role player potential & you can take a team from the bottom to the top very quickly.

You all saying yes are crazy

Championships are hard to get. This team has a window for several years yet. Celtics took 6 years to get their last won. Mobley and Garland not in their prime yet. Go Cavs ! It’s not over yet.

Mobley is only 23 years old and Garland is only 25 years old. With that being said, Antetokounmpo is 30 years old and is one of the top players in the league and already has an NBA championship. For the last three seasons, Cleveland has folded with its core four in the playoffs when times get tough.
Assuming the Cavaliers don’t come back and win this series against the Pacers, it will be hard for this fanbase to be sold with a core four of Mobley, Garland, Donovan Mitchell, and Jarrett Allen for the 2025-2026 season. It is obvious that switching head coaches from J.B. Bickerstaff to Kenny Atkinson did not fix its playoff issues.
Cleveland lacks toughness on the roster and there is no doubt that they would get that with Giannis. However, the Bucks would never trade within the division. The Cavaliers will be looking to trade Garland and Allen if they can’t get past this round. Cleveland needs to build around Mitchell and Mobley moving forward. It’s a pipe dream for this team to acquire Giannis in a trade, but the Cavaliers fanbase does need to think about what changes need to be made next year and maybe Phoenix Suns Kevin Durant may make sense more than Antetokounmpo also.
