Christian Watson continues to make history on the field. In a span of four games, he has gone from questionable second-round pick to future star in the league. He won Rookie of the Month for November and it was only a matter of time before he entered the Rookie of the Year conversation. Christian Watson’s Rookie of the Year odds are skyrocketing.

Christian Watson’s Rookie Of The Year Odds
Four weeks ago, Watson was not even on the map for Rookie of the Year. Now, he has the third-best odds. Right now, it seems to be a three-person race. Running back Kenneth Walker out of Seattle is the betting favorite. He has rushed for 649 yards on 138 carries (4.7 yards per carry) and 9 touchdowns. Add in another 116 yards receiving and Walker has had a great season for the Seahawks. Garrett Wilson is slightly ahead of Watson. Wilson has 57 receptions on the year for 790 yards and 4 scores. He has picked it up as of late due to the quarterback change in New York.
Can Watson Catch These Two?
Currently, Watson has 25 receptions for 401 yards and 7 touchdowns. Add in 5 rushes for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns and Watson’s numbers look comparable to the others. His scoring output in such a short amount of time is jaw-dropping. If he can keep these types of stat lines up, he will absolutely be on par with the other candidates for the award. The one thing that might hurt him is the team record. The Seahawks and Jets are both very much in the playoff hunt. If their teams make the playoffs, the voters may give the nod to a player with a better team record.
What a story it would be if Christian Watson won Rookie of the Year. He would basically win it in half a season. The fact that he is even in this conversation is mind-boggling. Regardless of whether he wins the award or not, the Packers have to be excited about the player they have in Watson.
