While the Packers as a team have been disappointing, watching Christian Watson the past three weeks has been a ton of fun. He found the endzone again this week, taking a short Jordan Love pass to the house. In the last game, he showed off his size and hands, but this touchdown showcased his speed. Christian Watson made Packers history again last night with his touchdown catch.
Unless I'm mistaken, Christian Watson is the first rookie wideout in Packers franchise history to record a receiving touchdown in three consecutive games since Billy Howton in 1952.

Christian Watson Makes Packers History Again
Watson has now caught a touchdown in three straight games. Christian Watson is the first Packers rookie to do this since the great Billy Howton in 1952. Howton’s rookie season was something special as he caught 53 passes for 1,231 yards and 13 touchdowns. Watson has a little ways to go to beat Howton’s record, as he caught a touchdown in five straight games during his rookie season. However, he is not showing any signs of slowing down, so it is possible. Seeing what Christian Watson has done for the Packers the past three weeks, one cannot help but wonder what kind of season he would have had he been healthy the first half of the year.
Great To See From Watson
Because of his injuries early in the season, many had already labeled Watson as a bust. Watson’s last three games show that sometimes we simply need to be patient with players. The skills were there. Yet, some bad luck on and off the field covered up what Christian Watson could bring to the Packers. Now, the Packers’ future at the wide receiver position looks bright as he and fellow rookie Romeo Doubs seem to be solid picks. In a year where the Packers have many questions about their future, seeing development like this is a good thing.
Even though the last two games have been losses, Christian Watson has been a delight to watch. I hope that Christian Watson continues to make Packers history. If he does, he could possibly sneak into the Rookie of the Year conversation, which would be awesome.
