The future of the Green Bay Packers’ franchise has nothing but love for one of the best players in the organization’s history.
Packers Star Rookie Heaps Praise On Aaron Rodgers
Packers rookie wideout, Christian Watson, took part in the club’s exit interviews, this week, following Green Bay’s disappointing loss to the Detroit Lions in week 18, which ended their season. However, it’s not all doom and gloom at Green Bay as Watson lamented his QB, Aaron Rodgers, someone whom the rookie receiver is ‘extremely thankful’ for.
“I’m extremely thankful to be able to have learned from him, grown with him. I think that he pushed me to be a better player, a better man, each and every day,” Watson proclaimed.

Christian Watson Had Quite The Productive Rookie Season
The 23-year-old North Dakota State product was selected by the Packers as the 34th overall pick in this past April’s NFL Draft and had quite the impact on a less-than-stellar receivers group for Rodgers. Watson battled his fair share of injuries but still managed to start 11 games, where he caught 41 balls for 611 yards and seven touchdowns while reaching pay dirt twice on the ground bringing his total TD total to nine for his rookie campaign.
While the future is certainly bright for Christian Watson, it’s extremely murky for the aforementioned Rodgers, who hasn’t helped calm the nerves of Packers fans and media alike as the future Hall of Famer has seemingly added fuel to the fire of retirement rumors anytime he’s been able.
