The 2022 NFL season has been a major roller coaster for Packers second round draft pick Christian Watson. As many fans may remember, the Packers attempted to acquire the 32nd overall pick (the last pick of the first round) to use on Watson. The Minnesota Vikings, though, did not want to give up the pick. Remember, first round draft picks are able to get fifth-year options, and Minnesota did not want to afford Green Bay that luxury. Instead, they traded the 34th overall pick to the Packers, which was then used to acquire Watson. As a second round wide receiver, Watson joined an impressive list of Packers wide receivers. So far, he arguably has had the best season of them all.

Christian Watson Has More Touchdowns than Any Packers Second Round Wide Receiver
As mentioned, this season has been a roller coaster for Christian Watson. He missed training camp and the preseason due to recovering from a knee injury. He was plagued with dropped passes, injuries, and non-targets for much of the early season.
However, Watson has exploded over the last few weeks and was named Offensive Rookie of the Month for November. Since the month of November began, Watson has six touchdown receptions. Amazingly, this is the most of all rookie wide receivers in the NFL this season.

In addition, Watson’s six touchdown receptions are the most by any Packers rookie wide receiver that was drafted in the second round. Greg Jennings, who had 632 receiving yards as a rookie, had three touchdown receptions. Davante Adams, who had 466 receiving yards as a rookie, also had three touchdown receptions in his first season. Jordy Nelson had just two in his first season, and Randall Cobb had just one.
