Chicago Bears Legend Dick Butkus Taunts Aaron Rodgers On Social Media

The Packer – Bears rivalry runs deep.  In fact it runs 100 years and 204 match-ups deep.  There are dozens of Hall of Fame Inductees on both sides.  They each have their fair share of Championships (Green Bay with 13, Chicago with nine… yes they count).  They are the two most storied franchises in NFL history.  This rivalry is so deep that it can cross generational lines as legendary players from the 1980s will talk smack about current NFL stars.

Boy, I hope Aaron Rodgers has figured out how to throw passes to himself because if not, Packers' games are going to look a whole lot like playing fetch with my dog (miss you Lucy).

Boy, I hope Aaron Rodgers has figured out how to throw passes to himself because if not, Packers’ games are going to look a whole lot like playing fetch with my dog (miss you Lucy).
It would seem as though Dick Butkus doesn’t have much confidence in the Green Bay Packers’ receiving corps going into the 2022 NFL season.  This off-season has been full of pleasant surprises at the wide receiver position for Green Bay.  This was much needed after the Davante Adams trade and losing Marquez Valdes-Scantling to free agency.
Aaron Rodgers has gone out of his way to praise seventh round wide receiver Samori Toure.  Allen Lazard has not only been named as one of the NFL’s best kept secrets, he also has the highest QBR in the league when targeted since 2019.  Sammy Watkins is looking like a different animal this year.  Watkins also knows that this year is a huge opportunity for him. Being only 29 years old, if he has a solid year he could earn himself a nice contract.
I haven’t even mentioned the two rookies Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson yet.  If Green Bay ever had a pair of wide receivers that could make an impact year one, it could be those two.  Aaron Rodgers has gone out of his way to praise both of them.  I supposed Mr. Butkus will have to sit back to wait and see if Aaron Rodgers still does it fact, “own Chicago.”
