Chicago Bears: Green Bay Packers Fans react to Bears Quarterback Justin Fields preseason opener

The Chicago Bears had an excellent start to their preseason with a 23-17 win over the Tennessee Titans on Saturday. This was thanks in large part to an eye-opening performance from Justin Fields, who seems set on having another breakout year for Chicago in 2023. If his wonderful outing in his preseason debut is an indication of what’s to come for Fields this season, then the Bears could be a big problem for the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North this year.

Obviously, one preseason game won’t be able to determine what’s ahead for Justin Fields and the Bears. However, there’s no denying that the former first-round pick showed a lot of promise in his first preseason outing for the new campaign.

Fields went a perfect 3-for-3 in his preseason debut for 129 yards. He also logged two touchdowns against the Titans, the first of which was a 62-yard completion for wide receiver DJ Moore. On his second TD, Fields hit Khalil Herbert with a simple screen pass, resulting in a 56-yard touchdown from the incoming third-year running back.

The Bears are having fun out there today 🔥

For their part, Green Bay Packers fans had a keen eye on their bitter rivals’ first preseason outing. Naturally, Cheeseheads could not help but react to Fields’ big day on the field as he led the Bears to an impressive victory over the Titans.

Packers fans are simply unfazed by this performance:

Negative 15 air yards that led to TDs. We’re FURIOUS 🥱

Bears fans always gotta mention packers fans. 😂 obsessed

Bros getting hard cause fields dusted up some titans backups in a preseason game😩

All throws behind the line of scrimmage. 😂 See you week 1.

That last tweet hit the nail on the head. This was a great showing from Fields, no doubt, but what will matter the most is what he’s able to bring to the table when the Bears and the Packers relive their age-old rivalry in Week 1.

Be that as it may, this Fields performance still gave some folks the opportunity to clown Pakcers fans on the mean streets of Twitter:

You know that the season is fast approaching now that the trash-talking has started.
